But He gives more grace. Therefore He says; "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." James 4:6...God is looking for pure hearts, not perfect ones. From 2 Chronicles 29 & 30... When King Hezekiah took the throne, he decided that he wanted to seek after the true God. He announced that he wanted the whole nation to keep the Passover. Those who heeded his request worked diligently to prepare the Temple and themselves to keep the Passover. Even with their tireless efforts, they were not ready on time and had to keep the feast in the second month instead of the first. Finally, the Temple was ready but some of the people were not. In a figure of Jesus our Intercessor, King Hezekiah prayed for those not totally prepared, and God healed them. In Communion, God's heart is for us to do the best we can. We are not supposed to take a bath to get clean enough to take a bath, but to come to God with a pure heart. He gives MUCH GRACE!!!
In John 6:48-51 it reads in The Passion , "I AM the true Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert and died. But standing here before you is the true Bread that comes out of heaven, and when you eat this Bread you will never die. I alone am this living Bread that has come to you from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever. The living Bread I give is my body, which I will offer as a sacrifice so that all may live." There is a difference between eternal life and living forever. The only reason I would die is if there is a record of sin in my DNA. I do not need to die, none of us do. But we need to undergo transformation by applying the body and blood of Jesus. The body and blood of Jesus carry the record of the DNA of God. We can age and die, or we can take the body and blood of Jesus within ourselves, and live forever!. Jesus says in John 6:58, "I am not like the bread your ancestors ate and later died. I am the living Bread that comes from heaven.
