The Bible teaches us "God is love,"(1John 4:16) which is the deepest part of His character. Yet it also shows that He is a just God who is to be feared! In Exodus 34:6-7, which has come to be known as the Disposition of Christ: "And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no way clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and fourth generation." This scripture shows us the God who is love, acts in love, also deals with sin. Notice the mercy in the word 'visits' the third and fourth generations! This kind of love, God's kind of love and forgiveness, has got to be released in the world! This verse says whoever hears these sayings and then does them are survivors! Obedience, which is doing the truth, may be the the most important rule for building a storm proof life. Not a storm free life, but a storm proof life! "The evidence of knowing God is obeying God" has been spoken over and over in our lives. In James 1:22 it says "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves..." The gospel is simple to understand; Listen to the truth and do it! What are some applications we can implement to become obedient and doers of truth? GIVE...FORGIVE...RESIST TEMPTATION...TURN THE OTHER CHEEK...DENY YOURSELF...LOVE GOD AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF...GO AND PREACH THE GOSPEL... Lord show me today what I have been hearing You say but have chosen not to do.

After much supplication, weeping and crying out to Yahweh(LORD), David testified in Psalms 130:4(Amp) "But there is forgiveness with You(just what man needs), that You may be reverently feared and worshiped".
