THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME...

These words are inscribed on most all communion tables in churches around the world. One of my childhood memories is staring at those word written on the table where the beautiful flower arrangements were centered. The table where the golden offering plates sat. Now it seems the table was for everything except communion.(once every month or so). But the words were still there to remind us to remember Him. We are surrounded by reminders in our day by day lives. We have our "to do list", our strings around the finger to remind us of important things in our lives. Fear surrounds those who forget their spouse's birthday or their anniversary! How much more should we remember what Jesus did on the cross for us as we take Communion and not to be part of some ritual? As we take the bread think about what His body looked like and the pain He took for Us. Think of the holes in His hands, feet, side and head. Think of the bruises and the stripes on His back. All had a meaning, remem

COMMUNION... OUR COVENANT REMINDER...

He did the same with the cup after supper saying, "This cup is the new covenant written in my blood, blood poured out for you." Luke 22:20 (The Message) When we as Christians eat the bread & drink the wine, we remind Him (God) that as His children we have rights & privileges within His Family. Communion is our reminder that we are also under covenant to walk as His children. When we are in covenant with Yahweh, we are the head & not the tail. We are sons not servants. Blessings chase us, we don't chase them. The Lord blesses those who bless us and curses those who curse us. We are in covenant with Him that everything we touch multiplies. This is our inheritance and each time we take communion these promises come back to our remembrance & strengthens our faith in His provision for us. Our covenant was struck at the Cross but it legally becomes active when we partake of the elements (bread & wine). When we take communion, we are proclaiming

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD...

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper? " And He said, "What have you done? The VOICE of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground." Genesis 4:9-10. The blood speaks, has a voice. When it does speak God makes Himself hear the cries and the voice of the blood. The blood gets God's attention! So how much more do we think God pays attention to the atoning Blood of Christ? So much so that He sees us who are washed & cleansed in the perfect Blood of Christ as Christ ones!!! Ones who walk in the fullness of blessing that make our hearts overflow with love. Jesus lives, He loves us, and has cleansed us in His blood. By Him living in us, He makes us kings & priests, a royal priesthood, worthy for He is worthy. This is why I believe that communion is a key that will chan
