LOVE IS LIGHT

While in study on love and what it is, I came across a passage of scripture that contained revelation not just about love but communion as well! Read Romans 13:8-14 in The Passion Translation... In this scripture (v-11)  it says it's urgent and strategic for us to live in the light! So wake up, time is fleeting and our full salvation is at hand. Full salvation translates as complete wholeness in the Greek, the same as the last book in the bible...Revelation. This scripture (v-12) also says darkness is dissolving as a new day dawns, our destiny! Darkness can be described as "old clothes," as we put on  "new clothes" of light in this new day! This new day will find us surrounded by light as we lose the old and live in the new! What a trade! Verse 14 says We fully immerse ourselves INTO the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One where even our DNA is changed and we have a new identity. This is a definition of what communion (bread and wine) does for us, changes us from the i...

GOD IS NEAR

"Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen." Hebrews 11:1   Faith  tells us that Yehweh is real and that He is good...It is the choice to believe that the One who made it all hasn't left it all and that He still sends light into the darkness and responds to our faith...Faith is knowing that Yehweh will always do what is right! He says the more hopeless your situation, the more likely your deliverance. The greater your needs, the more genuine your prayers! The darker the circumstances, the greater need for light. Our God and His help is near and always available...BUT it is only given to those who seek it and will settle for nothing less...                                                           ...

""THE TIME IS NOW"...Rosh Hashanah 5779

As we enter the days of awe, (the ten days between Rosh Hashanah & Day of Atonement) I believe it's a time of turnaround. A time to transition from things as they are to things as they should be. A time to make amends to those you have wronged and to seek forgiveness! Rosh Hashanah is also known as Yom Teruah which means to shout or make a loud noise. In the Jewish culture, this holy day begins with the blowing of the shofar or rams horn. The new year 5779 is a year of transition or change, a time of NOW! Let's forgive one another! Let's change from things as usual to things becoming blessed beyond measure or understanding. The word in all of this is "make this day one instead of one day! "THE TIME IS NOW"  GENESIS 50:20 "But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to make happen, as it IS this day..."...NOW ...DAY ONE!

IT'S ALL GOOD

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called to His purpose." Romans 8:28 NKJV.   Even in hardship, suffering and in disappointments, even when wrongly treated, we can know that God will work in all of these situations(and more) to fulfill His plan and purpose for our lives! God can and does use all things in our lives for His good purpose. In Joseph's life while in the pit, Daniel in the lion's den and when Jesus was on the cross, God demonstrated His resurrection power in each of these hardships. He also does so in our lives as well! He is the One who brings forth beauty for ashes. No matter what impossible thing you are facing or hopeless and overwhelming situation that is confronting you...BELIEVE GOD'S PROMISE!!!

BEING AN OVERCOMER

In 1 Corinthians 10:13 It declares that hardships & trials come into our lives, not to break us, but to build & strengthen us that we might persevere and to overcome! Our time on earth is a "security deposit" for the glorious life to come! James 1:12 declares "Blessed is the man who ENDURES temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him". The scripture, 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 states we are commissioned to be God's servants on earth. As His stewards, we are to be found faithful, persevering and presenting God's Kingdom...knowing we are only visitors on this earth! We are expected to be loyal to His call as His deposit on this earth. May we hear these words from our Lord & King, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord". (Matthew 25:23).

BATTLE-STANCE

Ephesians 6:10-18 speaks of putting on our spiritual armor in resisting attacks of the devil. Paul is exhorting us  to stand against  principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places... to withstand in a battle-stance attitude! This means to be determined not to give up ground! Prayer is how we engage in this warfare. Praying in the spirit, armed with the Word Of God, keeps us steady in the power of the Lord's might. This allows us to lose no ground and makes us victorious, time and time again!!!

DETERMINED PRAYER

Matthew 21:22 (Passion) "Everything you pray for with the fullness of faith you will receive!" In this scripture we see Yeshuah teaching his disciples that if faith's fullness lived in them, they could speak to the physical creation around them and it would respond. Faith brings the reality of the kingdom realm and unlocks great authority for us as believers!!! Praying men and women always get Yehweh's attention and they hear Yehweh speaking. It has been that way since the beginning. We see in Acts 10:1-2 we can save our own house the same way Cornelius saved his. In a single day, with a glorious miracle, his entire household was saved and filled with Holy Spirit. In one day his house was transformed from spiritual blindness to marvelous light and life. (Out of darkness into light). All because one man was determined to save his house! God help us to get serious and determined about praying for OUR lost family and friends
