While "in the spirit" today I received a download on what we (the church and Americans) should be focused on... The 1st thing I experienced is identifying with what happened in the 1st church. They(the 120) were celebrating a feast of the Lord, "Day of First Fruits" or "Feast of Weeks".They had been praying together for ten days(they were with the risen Christ for 40 days before He ascended & they were in Jerusalem to wait & pray. Pentecost is 50 days after Passover, so.....10 days.) In Acts 1:14 it is recorded, "All of them were UNITED in prayer, gripped with one passion, interceding night and day."In Acts 2:1 it says they were together in "one accord" in agreement, one mind & purpose, unanimous, having group UNITY! We, as "the church" should be praying like this in UNITY especially now with what is going on our country & the world. Praying the frequency of "the wonderful works of God" (Acts 2:11) and not being focused on the problem but focused on the answer! Yeshua!!! There is more! In partaking of Communion there is a fellowship that takes place not only with Yeshua, but also with each other. We can identify with that spirit of the 1st church in communion! The 1st church(1st fruit) was devoted to communion & unity with God AND with each other. The word here is Koinonia . This word describes a deep sense of SPIRIT UNITY with God and each other. We are all (believers) the body of Christ and we are related to Christ and to each other! This is what we need to focus on during the now of what we all are going through; if we can't be together in the natural we can be together in SPIRIT UNITY. Stay in the Word, fellowship & prayer, care for one another with praise & worship. In koinonia we have SPIRIT UNITY! Read Revelation 21:4-7
In John 6:48-51 it reads in The Passion , "I AM the true Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert and died. But standing here before you is the true Bread that comes out of heaven, and when you eat this Bread you will never die. I alone am this living Bread that has come to you from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever. The living Bread I give is my body, which I will offer as a sacrifice so that all may live." There is a difference between eternal life and living forever. The only reason I would die is if there is a record of sin in my DNA. I do not need to die, none of us do. But we need to undergo transformation by applying the body and blood of Jesus. The body and blood of Jesus carry the record of the DNA of God. We can age and die, or we can take the body and blood of Jesus within ourselves, and live forever!. Jesus says in John 6:58, "I am not like the bread your ancestors ate and later died. I am the living Bread that comes from heaven.
